On Saturday, May 17th, the Salone Internazionale del Libro di Torino—Italy’s most prestigious literary event—hosted the official presentation of the book “La Via del Vento” by Enrico Gianoli. The event was moderated by Leonardo Parigi, director of Osservatorio Artico, Italy’s leading platform for Arctic news and research.
The book is based on Gianoli’s experience during the SOS Arctic 2024 expedition, which he joined as a member of the team led by Ramón Larramendi and the Inuit Windsled project. In La Via del Vento, Enrico recounts the expedition through personal narratives, reflections on the polar environment, and insights into life aboard a wind-powered sled navigating one of the planet’s most extreme and fragile regions.
The presentation offered an opportunity to share with the public not only the story of the expedition, but also the values that inspire the project: sustainability, innovation, scientific cooperation, and a deeper understanding of Greenlandic culture.
Congratulate Enrico on bringing the spirit of the Arctic to readers everywhere.
